The traffic signal at Armstrong and MLK does not turn green for cars traveling on Armstrong Ave after midnight. I sat at this intersection on Armstrong for over 5 min and it did not turn green. I observed this on multiple occasions

  • Freeman Ave & Logan Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square

This issue is a continuation of Issue ID: 12655350, which was prematurely closed by "Traffic – Jean W"

The issue was regarding Logan ave. There is no stop line on Logan Ave, where it intersects Freeman Ave. Can you please add a half length stop line on Logan Ave.

  • 134 Logan Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square

This section of Logan Ave, between Freeman Ave and Dales Ave currently seems to be a single-lane two way street. There was a speed bump installed a while ago and the speed bump road markings are placed going in both directions.

There is no Do Not Enter sign at Logan Ave, where it intersects Freeman Ave.

There is a car wash at the corner of Logan and Freeman Ave. Majority of the people entering the car wash enter from Freeman Ave and make a right onto Logan ave. And it works out well because cars entering the car wash queue on Freeman Ave, which is a wide street, compared to Logan Ave, which is single-lane.

On 5 different occasions now I have been harassed by ignorant and arrogant Jersey City police officers who claim this section of Logan Ave is a one-way street. I have been ticketed three times and all the tickets have been dismissed in court.

Can the city please install a two way street sign on this section of Logan Ave, between Freeman and Dales Ave.

    Thank you

Huge pothole here, it's very hard to see from the drivers point of view, it's been there 3 days and i've seen two people puncture their tires. This should have already been fixed.

There was some work being done in from of 32 Emerson Ave, but has been sitting stagnant for months now. There is a pile of gravel in front of the property that is overflowing into the sidewalk. There is a bare mattress that has been on the sidewalk, blocking the path, for weeks. There are weeds growing into the sidewalk.

Why is this section of the road closed today?
  • 213 Sip Avenue Jersey City, New Jersey - Journal Square
The streetlight at the corner of Sip and Romaine Ave is burnt out. At night, it is extremely difficult to see pedestrians crossing the road.

The grass on the median on this block is overgrown and it needs to be trimmed.
  • 263 Sip Avenue Jersey City, New Jersey - Journal Square
There is a recessed drain at the corner of Sip Ave & West Side Ave. This was reported previously I believe, but all the city has done is patch the outside of the drain, however, the pot hole is still there and it needs to be raised. People take the turn either too tight and close to the curb or too wide. Drivers are more focused on avoiding the hole than looking for pedestrians.

Concerning the traffic light at the corner of Sip ave and tonnelle ave. For years this light used to take ages to turn red so pedestrians can cross but recently it seems to me it has been changed to cycle a lot more frequently. This is causing too much traffic especially at rush hour. The only reason there is a need for a traffic light at the intersection is for pedestrians to cross, so it would be better to have the signal set to cycle only when a pedestrian presses the button to cross. And add do not block box markings on the road.

These hole on the road need to be filled. I believe utility work was done on the road and the company left a mini speed bump. When that fell apart the city did this and that is falling apart again. .

At the intersection of Sip Ave and 1&9 South, the left turn light is not turning on even though there was a long line of cars in the turning lane. Please report it to the DOT. Thanks

Has the city considered making the right most lane on this road a drop-off/pick-up lane? No matter how many times a cop comes and tells people to move, it will be used for that purpose anyway. There is no use of having three lanes starting at JFK blvd north and sip ave when only two lanes are entering that road, why have it expand to three lanes, and have people merge down to two again. So why not only have two lanes on JFK north starting at sip ave? There will be not bottleneck. And once traffic moves past the drop-off lane, it will expand to 5 lanes like it is now. Please let me know if this has been considered.
