    1. Is there someone from the city that can assist us? We’re all in the 3100 block of East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane. There is a another similar thread with the county- we’re all pleading with the county to address a dangerous intersection (I agree with the below) The visibility is very, very poor and drivers simply don’t have time to react to bicyclists moving at high speed. I’ve been shouted at (with plenty of expletives) just trying to walk across the trail with our dog, similarly trying to cross with a car. I can only image what happens when a biker moving at 22+ hits a car, or a pedestrian. This is definitely an accident waiting to happen. The residents are trying to make it clear to King County that they have created the hazard; can you help fix it before fears become a reality?
    2. I would like to echo everything stated by others. I am nervous about hitting a bicyclist every time I come home and have to strain to be able to see over the chain link fence to the north that blocks my line of sight. The speed at which cyclists pass through that intersection without even slowing down is so dangerous! This very unsafe situation could be greatly improved with strategically placed mirrors allowing drivers to see oncoming traffic. Speed limit signs…and maybe speed bumps on the trail, would also help. It is only a matter of time before an accident occurs. We are asking for your immediate attention and action to correct this dangerous situation.
    3. The trail crossing at 3100 East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane Southeast and the East Lake Sammamish Trail is hazardous to pedestrians using the trail, to bicyclists using the trail and to vehicular traffic crossing the trail. For pedestrians and bicyclists, the danger is due to the limited visibility vehicle drivers have as they approach the trail crossing. To the vehicle driver’s left the trail bends sharply beside a tall, reinforced wall, with a narrow, two-foot shoulder, that severely limits sight distance to the south. To the north, the driver’s sight is reduced by the descending lane’s angle coming down the hill to the trail, the fence along the trail and the height of the hillside adjacent to the trail, obstructing view to the north. What exacerbates the hazard is the speed of some of the bicyclists who are exceeding the 15 MPH speed limit (which is not posted anywhere.) Their speed combined with the limited visibility for drivers either descending the hill or attempting to cross the trail from residences along East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane Southeast or the distraction of the last-minute installation of the asphalt rainwater diverter installed to modify a rainwater design flaw, greatly increases the risk of a serious collision between a cyclist and a vehicle. Your prompt attention and corrective action is needed to address this safety issue.

I ran across this while cleaning up the area. This grate was (is) overgrown and against a bank which is allowing dirt to enter it. Water from the street was no longer entering this drain and is just running down the street. Just wondering if this is something you are interested in reviewing or cleaning etc.

In 2015 we had a serious drought and the water level in Pine Lake dropped significantly. I've been a volunteer monitor for Pine Lake since I moved here in 1992. After we became a city in 2000 I inquired about the number of houses on the lake that are grandfathered into being able to pimp lake water to water their lawns, etc. The ciy official was surprised - he'd never looked for the information before, but it was well over 30 properties. It would be a good idea, I think, to disallow this provision when a lakefront property is next sold.

There is an illegal MB bike park being built on the backside of 3825 219 Ave Se, that spills onto public land and connects to Se 43rd way, there is no public access to this trail. They have cut down trees, and cleared a lot of native growth to make this path. They are using the cut trees to make jumps/obstacles and banks, so it will not be walkable. This forest will no longer sequester carbon as it once did, and is not as beautiful as it was before they disturbed it. The trail was built on top of bear/deer trails, so they will no longer be able to use that area comfortably: we have not seen as many deer in the area since hearing the chainsaws. This is 15 min away from duthie, absolutely no reason this should be built.
