  • 40 Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - East Peralta
This mobile home has been parked here for weeks facing the wrong direction, and partially into the bike lane. Each day I go by there are now more mobile homes parked here and more trash piled up all around them/on sidewalks, and into bike lanes. There are signs clearly saying no overnight parking, but no one is enforcing. These need to be towed away, they are making bike commuting dangerous. There is now a huge pile of car tires behind this vehicle...
  • Embarcadero Oakland, CA, 94606, USA - South Kennedy Tract
Newly painted lane on Embarcadero between Livingston and Dennison needs a bike lane added to the right turn lane, which is twice the size of the lane going straight. This lane is so large, cars pull into it thinking there are 2 lanes going south on Embarcadero where there are not. There needs to be clear striping for both a bike lane and right turn lane so people aren't cutting others off at the intersection, trying to get back over.
  • 8th St & Oak St Oakland, CA, 94607, USA - Peralta-Laney
Uber/Lyft drivers use the bike lanes as drop off points in front of Lake Merritt Bart every morning, blocking bikers, and people who are trying to turn right on Oak from 8th street.
PER the CITY- “The City’s Parking Control Technicians are able ticket these drivers in violation of California Vehicle Code 21211.B, and OakDOT is actively tracking areas where these violations occur frequently. Knowing where and how often drivers receive parking tickets for blocking bikeways allows OakDOT to implement focused efforts to discourage this behavior over time, and make safety improvements to bikeway infrastructure.
Please ADD this location to your patrolling area.
  • Union Point Park Parking Lot Oakland, CA - South Kennedy Tract
On my bike ride home today I noticed two different cars illegally dumping their trash in the union point park parking lot. One was parked on the Embarcadero dumping on the railroad tracks, the other was in the parking lot by the water dumping from a minivan.
