Three of the four crossings at 17th and Jackson are missing crosswalks. If I recall correctly, there used to be crosswalks here but they were never re-striped after the road was re-paved. Although the law technically says that pedestrians still have the right of way at intersections like this, I've found that drivers consistently violate that right, and the absence of crosswalks gives them that license. I would respectfully request the restoration of proper crosswalks here and at the adjacent intersection of 19th and Jackson as soon as possible. These intersections have a lot of pedestrian traffic, including significant numbers of elderly people.
