    The City has now listed this issue as "closed". Their definition of "closed" is apparently someone dumping some asphalt into the water-filled pothole. The result is a large pothole, half full of asphalt and water. What a joke!

    The large piles of debris and homeless encampments on Oakport street will not create a positive image of the city of Oakland for those using this alternate route to and from the Oracle Arena during the NBA Western Conference finals. The city should at least make an attempt to make the area look presentable.

    There is no speed limit sign at the entrance to the Webster Street tube. The speed limit in the tube is 45 mph and traffic is usually flowing much faster. People unfamiliar with the area driving through the tube 25 mph are creating quite a hazard to motorists.

    Homeless encampments blocking the sidewalk and spilling into the traffic lane directly in front of S/B I880 on ramp. Homeless people darting in front of accelerating vehicles. VERY DANGEROUS.

    The homeless camp situation has worsened. Tents are now completely blocking the sidewalk and are spilling out into the street. Pedestrians walking on the west sidewalk are forced to walk into the traffic lanes to pass. People are frequently crossing in front of traffic as traffic southbound on Oakport speeds up to get onto southbound 880. The tents on the sidewalk also block the visibility of northbound traffic on Oakport at the freeway entrance. This is a very very dangerous situation.
