Cars turning from 57th street southbound onto either Adeline or Market have no warning that there might be pedestrians in the crosswalks. I've had three very close calls while crossing here with the walk signal. Each time, I would have been hit if I didn't run out of the way. These crosswalks have stoplights for northbound traffic, why not both directions? This enormous and complex intersection has incomplete signaling and is failing to protect pedestrians.

Confusing signage contributing to unsafe crosswalk conditions:

From the corner of 55th to the crosswalk is entirely a red curb, but there is also a street sweeping sign with specific "no parking" times. Cars are frequently parked next to this sign (in the red) blocking the view of pedestrians in the crosswalk. It's very scary to cross San Pablo here! I suggest you remove the street sweeping sign from this section of red curb. There's another identical sign on the other side of the crosswalk where parking IS allowed. Enforcement of the red zone would probably also help.

I know there's no illegally parked vehicle in the photo, but I promise it's a frequent problem at this spot.
