The locust by the street in front of my house is very old. DTE trimming has resulted in most of the growth coming on my side of the sidewalk. The limbs overhang the cars in my driveway and the tree in the front yard and ae rapidly headed to my house.

The locust tree by the street across the sidewalk from the park next door has been pruned to prevent growth over the sidewalk but mine has not.

At this point I do not know how to handle the situation. I would be quite happy for the city to remove the tree and eventually plant a small new one. I have tried calling and leaving a message as I was directed by the city but I get no reply.

I would like to officially request a radical trimming of what hangs over my property or removal f the tree.

Our neighbor (who has very small frontage on the street) has deposited all of his ice storm tree and branch debris outside our fence. None of it is bundled. Will the city pick it up? It is piled up just outside our grape vines. It is on Garden Circle on the side of our lot.

I am not sure what to label this concern. The house behind ours, which does not show any activity, has a tree branch on the roof and lots of tree branches on the ground. One large branch overhangs our property - over our fence and wooden garden house. I am concerned that more on the tree is going to come down and that some of it may damage structures on our property or perhaps result in injury. The property is not occupied by the owner. The initial branch came down during the ice storm but more continues to come down. I think the tree is either dead or close to dead. I have no idea how to contact the property owner.

The pine tree closest to the play structure in WInewood Thaler Park has a limb hanging down - partially broken off up high. In good weather there are a lot of children using this part of the park. I am concerned about injury if the branch comes completely off.

More fresh cut trees have been deposited in the area by the raspberries. Some were hauled away earlier this week but there are more very fresh ones there now. Took this photo yesterday.

People have been dragging and disposing of cut-down trees in the raspberry planting in the park - right along the path. One tree appeared earlier in mid-summer and another one appeared this past week. These are not fallen trees but have obviously been cut down with a saw. Is it possible to have the trees removed as that raspberry patch is used by many people in the early summer?

In mid-august someone came to replace our water meter. He needed to be able to shut off the water line at the street and was unable to. The man told us he would contact the city and they would send people out to get rid of the root blocking access to the shut off. The city sent two men a week or so later and they could not solve the problem and they told us the city would need to send someone with heavier equipment to solve the problem. I am pretty sure they did take photographs of the situation.

It is now almost the end of October and nothing has been done. We took things out of our storage area in August and left them in the family room. They are still in the family room which is not very usable and looks a bit like an obstacle course.

Earlier this month we called the number were were given and reported the difficulty but still nothing has been done. We have no idea where to go from here but would like to get the matter resolved soon.

Compost carts not picked up

my compost cart was missed in today's pickup. It is the city supplied cart. It has been outside the gate in the street since Wednesday night. Another cart on the circle was emptied but mine is still quite full but not hanging out of the lid.

a locust tree on the Thaler side of the park has a branch that is touching the ground.

I live next to the Winewood Thaler Park on Thaler Ave. When the city paved over the blacktop sidewalk along Thaler they paved a wide sidewalk. The sidewalk then narrows to a more normal width. All of this on the park property.

We have problems in the summer - with the grass cutting - and in the winter with the snow removal. The folks servicing the park seem to think the change in the width of the sidewalk indicates the end of the park property. I have had to go out in the summer to tell the crew that my fence is the property line not the sidewalk width change and instruct them to mow the grass that is part of the park property.

Now in the winter the plow does not do the narrow part of the park's sidewalk but leaves it for us to clear. I think some instruction for the workers would be helpful. Going out in the snow to instruct the plow operators is more than I want to do - being in my late 70s and not fond of the snow.

This house has been unoccupied for a long time - years - and is becoming an eyesore. Bushes untrimmed, lawn uncut, and in a state of general neglect. Is there anything that can be done?

A lot of dead branches hanging over sidewalk along Thaler Ave. Trees are locusts in the easement. This has been reported previously in the last year or two but this spring it is obvious that the number of dead branches in increasing.
