The locust tree on the City easement in front of the condo dropped a huge branch on the driveway last week, requiring an emergency removal to get access to the driveway. This tree need serious pruning on all its lower branches to prevent possible damage to passing vehicles on 4th avenue and to pedestrians on the sidewalk.

The pagoda at Wheeler Park is looking like an encampment with mattresses, discarded gear, trash and litter all around the area and also under nearby park benches.

A2 police have been alerted and will begin surveillance to ensure that this location ceases to be used for overnight camping. But, trash need to be picked up to make the park presentable for general public use again.

The bicycle with a broken front wheel was left leaning on tree next to the street on 4th Avenue and should be removed.

Two 8 foot spruce trees were planted in North Main Park two years ago. They show obvious signs of tree disease.
I trimmed dead branches at the bottom of the trees to improve their appearance but they need prompt treatment. There are indications of spruce gall--and possibly other diseases. (I left a branch cutting with several spruce galls on it on the left post of the NORTH MAIN PARK sign.) These trees can be saved with timely spraying for disease.

The small tree to the right of the large black maple has been dead for several years. It should be removed.

A large tree was taken down over a month ago and the branches and logs have yet to be removed from the park. It will not be possible to cut the grass in the park until the debris is removed.

This is a repeat of an earlier post. The tree referred to has been dead for 5 years and should be removed this Spring.

The dead tree is located 6 feet north of the east property line for the condominium at 542-8 North Main Street. A stick with a flag is in the ground next to the tree.

The 5" wide hole in the sidewalk at the north entrance to North Main Park should be filled in. It was created by spilt salt from the City snow sweeper two winter's ago and is a trip hazard.

Three large potholes at the curbcut for 637 N. 4th Avenue need to be repaired. They were filled using cold patch last year but it has not maintained.
