somebody cut down or chainsawed this tree, then left the downed tree on the sidewalk!

This park has mostly been abandoned by the community because it has turned into a dusty mess. Please restore this valuable asset with some new ground cover!

Emeryville sidewalk “medians”, the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street, are home to foxtail weeds. Foxtail barbs are very dangerous for dogs, cats, and even kids. If a barb gets in a dog’s ear, or gets inhaled through the nose, or gets embedded in your skin, it presents a serious health risk. The procedure to remove the barbs is expensive and painful. All the rain we’ve experienced this year has now resulted in a Foxtail super bloom. So, we are looking at a serious public health problem in Emeryville and I think the city needs to get involved in a median weed cutting program.
