This issue was reported (3257678) in March, and a crew of two workers came out and cleaned up some of the litter, but now Mary Benson Park is filled with litter once again. This is an ongoing issue that needs to be monitored on a REGULAR BASIS, not just when someone reports it via this system.

Kids come to the basketball court during and after school (which is a whole other issue, truancy and whatnot) and they litter, despite there being two trash cans on the basketball court. There are bottles, wrappers, bags, and more just littering the whole area, on the basketball court and on all areas of grass surrounding it. There's also some kind of plastic netting from construction and metal fence bases near the apartment building. It's just a matter of time before someone is injured by this loose metal strewn about the area.

I understand there is a community cleanup scheduled for the end of the month. but can something be done PERMANENTLY regarding this quality of life issue? Maybe whatever agency is responsible could come on a WEEKLY basis? I'm sure local media would love to hear about this ongoing quality of life issue that the city doesn't seem to understand is an ongoing issue, or simply chooses to ignore.

Please arrange for the trash to be picked on the park to be maintained on a REGULAR BASIS. This is disgusting.

The crosswalks outside of 361 Newark Ave and near Healy's are routinely ignored by drivers who are driving at a high rate of speed coming up and down Newark Ave. Maybe some of those signs telling drivers to yield to pedestrians could be installed in the crosswalk? (signs like this: http://www.safetysign.com/images/source/detail-grid-images/yield-to-pedestrians-signs.0e5604f912273ef185ac02e47b9a1bbb.jpg). I've had several close calls while trying to use that crosswalk in the week since I have moved into the neighborhood.

Trash is either being littered by those who frequent the park or is coming from the highway above. It needs to be cleaned up. Not a good look, Jersey City!
