I have had six spine surgeries and I need to use the curb cut for my driveway to safely get in and out of my car. It has not been resurfaced or recontoured in more than 60 years, although the adjacent curb cuts have been well maintained. Big chunks of concrete are loose and pose stumbling hazards for me, as well as the large holes in the slope. The City of Alameda maintenance department keeps closing this issue, falsely stating here on SeeClickFix that "it has been addressed". It has NEVER been addressed. No one has even bothered to try and contact me, and City maintenance has all my contact info. Short of filing a lawsuit under the Federal Americans With Disabilities act against the City, what else can I do to protect my safety?

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, I arrived home at about 3:50 PM to find two Alameda police cars parked in front of my home. One was blocking my driveway. There was no traffic disturbance and I did not see any police personnel coming or going to houses in the vicinity. I did not receive an alert on my cell phone. They remained parked there for nearly an hour; they left at about 4:40 PM. I figured it must be important, so I looked up the APD DailyActivityLog for Tuesday 1.22.2019. However, there is no mention of any APD activity remotely close to my address on this date. Please explain why APD was blocking my driveway for almost an hour. Thank you.

Today at 9 AM, I walk out to my car to discover BOTH cross streets bracketing my block are Road Closed to Thru Traffic.At the same time? I do not recall getting any notice about this! Nothing was mailed to my address recently [in last 6 months]. One project is Caltrans. The other is PG&E. I don't know whose job it is to notify residents living within 100 feet about these projects, but somebody should be doing it. Please fix. Thanks.

Repeated request. I posted this back on June 15 and have heard nothing. In front of 1114 Grand, the curb cuts are breaking down and crumbling concrete is a safety hazard. The cuts need to be flared out just as was done directly across the street 30 years ago. Our side of the street has been ignored by Public Works for decades. Why?

It's June 30, and the night air is already full of illegal fireworks noise lasting until 2 AM. On Next Door , the Bronze coast is complaining. Are these Alameda or Oakland fireworks in the neighborhoods? Please advise.

The curb cuts in front of these addresses are crumbling and need replacement with flaring. Nothing has been done on this side of the street for 50+ years, although the same curb cuts right across the street were replaced 20+ years ago. The curb between them needs repouring also. I have been stumbling over the loose concrete pieces for years and about a month ago, orange spraypaint was applied to the four corners of each curbcut; however, nothing has been done yet. Can you tell us when the work will begin? My neighbors and I would be Ecstatic if the work could be completed before the July 4 Parade, which goes by and stops at the Encinal intersection each year! [also The City would look better]. Thanks!
