This intersection needs more lighting. It is both a busy pedestrian and traffic crossing as the Bayshore recreation trail crosses here. Heading west, over the bridge, the bridge railing totally obscures the view of the sidewalk/trail.

Every year for 7 weeks the enire south end of the waterfront and City, is blocked off for a one weekend event. Yes, 7 weeks for a 3 day event that generates an insane amount of noise and pollution, from sunrise to sunset. The Airport, The Dali Museum, Saturday Market, Albert Whitted Park and just plain enjoyable use of the waterfront for those of us who live in the City are all disrupted when the City sells out to Firestone Tire Company for the Grand Prix, formula 1, car race. Race cars on race tracks, not in our vibrant Dowtown!

Please post signs and paint arrows on the waterfront Rec Path, notifying users to Keep Right. Many users walk in the middle of the Path and on the left side, making it very difficult for bikers and other users of wheeled devices. It also makes collisions more likely. Other trails, such as the Upper Tampa Bay Trail in Tampa, have directional arrows, signs, lines and walker/biker images, painted on the trail and posted along the Trail, advising users to Keep Right.

On the southwest corner of Central Ave and 4th St, across from the BB&T Building, there is a very hazardous piece of sharp metal protruding up through the sidewalk! Someone could easily lose a toe on this spear, or worse! I brought this to a construction workers attention when they were pouring new sections of sidewalk, but that was one year ago. Please send a crew to take care of this dangerous, lingering hazard.

There are dozzens of events every year that hamper access to the South Docks and Demen's Landing. Countless jogging events, the Grand Prix car race and countless other events.

Every year the American Stage Theatre Company puts on a month long performance which, once again, hampers access to South Docks and Demen's Landing Park. Uniformed Police are posted nightly to control access, while just 1/4 mile south is the perfect location for the theatrical performance, Albert Whitted Park.

At Albert Whitted access for theater goers could be controlled, but South Dock users, and Park users, would not be inconvenienced, a much better location with consideration for Marina users.

The closing of 2nd Ave and access to all the previous parking adjacent to North Dock has put added pressure for Marina parking. I know the City has made efforts to make accomodations for this situation and I have another suggestion to easily open up two more parking spots adjacent to West Dock, where parking has become very tight since the closing of the parking adjacent to North Dock.

There is room for at least two, maybe three, additional parking spots in front of the West Dock dumpster location, for at least 21 hours a day. The City Sanitation Truck comes every day, early in the morning, making that area unused the rest of the day and night. By simply posting "No Parking 6-9am" two additional parking spots would become available 21 hours a day, that would be a meaningful increase.

    Thank you!

Are there really no noise ordinances in Downtown Saint Petersburg limiting the hours construction noise can occur? Construction on "The One", in the heart of Downtown starts at 6 AM! And what about Downtown residents and hotel guests? Construction noise should be prohibited before 7:30 or 8:00AM.

I was issued a Parking Citation with a manufactured violation, as is proven by the enforcement officer's own photograph. The Parking Enforcement Supervisor condones such behavior, which was obvious in my telephone conversation with Her. The City would be better served by employing supervisors who lead by example, especially in any law enforcement capacity.

There is an unmarked, unmetered, curbside parking spot on First Ave South. Parking Enforcement is well aware of the spot, which was very clear when i called to object to a Parking Citation issued to me. Since the location has no indication that parking is not allowed, Parking Enforcement are fabricating a violation, "Blocking Driveway", even though my vehicle was not blocking any driveway. As a matter of fact, while my vehicle was parked, a City Sanitation Truck, two Fed-X trucks and a UPS Truck, entered and exited the driveway, as was witnessed by the First Central Security Guard. Jamie, the City Parking Officer, gave me a variety of ridiculous reasons why a ticket was justified, even after admitting that the spot is in no way marked "No Parking Anytime". She said "......they keep taking the signs....", yet there is no sign post there, or any indication there ever was one. So, instead of having proper signage installed, or a meter, Parking Enforcement is routinely issuing citations, that's wrong!

Why are they not opening Central and 1rst Avenue at the waterfront ASAP? The Grand Prix Race is a huge disruption to this area for 7 weeks, you'd think by Tuesday following the Race crews would be working to open these two critical streets back up!
