Not related to sewers, so this could also be listed under potholes and street repair, but there is no adequate drainage on Normanskill Drive - especially towards the bottom of Normanskill Dr. and Mill Road. Water runoff has caused major erosion of both streets and property. Water crosses in a continuous stream over both roads, leaving runoff debris and pooling of water and has created potholes and degradation of existing surfaces - including property owner's driveway.

I spoke with Supervisor Jeff Hunt several months ago when they were doing some patching on Mill Road, about the ongoing problem of lack of drainage, poor road conditions and erosion on Normanskill Drive, especially as the water has eroded the area around #4 Normanskill. We need to replace the driveway, but without a storm drain or some other channel for the water to divert, it all ends up at the low spot. Same for further down, where Normanskill and Mill meet.
It's not just a paving issue, which needs to happen, but drainage, or a culvert is also something needing to be addressed.

Several trees fell between #4 and #3 Normanskill Drive, pulling down electrical and possibly phone wires. There are still limbs on the wires, and one wire is actually exposed. The pole that has the one street light on Normanskill is also now leaning from the wires being pulled. This is really more of a hanging and loose wire issue than tree. Secondary power line and possible telephone line.

Water Department. This cover has been loose for o er a year and is now totally missing. Someone just stepped in the hole and twisted their ankle. Please cover completely. It's right near the hydrant on Mill Rd, across from the Normanskill Parking lit.

Someone dumped a huge container of garbage. On Normanskill Drive before #2

There’s been a water leak from this property for the last week. Seems to be coming from their main shut off, water is running down Mill Road.

Please add signs about picking up dog waste. Also please add dog waste bags at parking lot and at the actual dog park. Now that the golf course is closed to dogs for the season, this parking area is populated with dog walkers. Much dog waste on the trails and side of road. Signs where the leash signs might be helpful. Along with waste bags. Thank you.

Several trees are about to fall on Normanskill Drive - one is almost all the way cracked - will take down the power line and block the road. Especially with the current wind situation.

There is a big pothole on the south side of McAlpin right at the intersection of 9W. The street was repaired from utility or sewer work but the last foot or so was never properly filled or finished. Parked cars make avoiding the pothole almost impossible without swerving into oncoming traffic. Please fill - it's a very busy area and all cars are hitting it exactly on the passenger side.

I submitted a ticket last week - #9569688 (acknowledged March 23) and was notified on April 2 that it was closed. I just rode the south end bicycle connector and it is still full of glass and debris. It has not been swept and if it was, then there is a problem with the sweeper. Now that the city bikes are available, there will be more bike traffic. It is almost not passable without getting a flat tire. It needs to be swept weekly ant just have the glass pushed along.

The south end bicycle connector from the Helderberg Hudson rail trail along the 787 service road is full of glass. It needs to be maintained in a weekly basis.

This car has been parked in the Normanskill Farm Dog Park parking lot for 6 days.

A landscape company has been using Normanskill Drive as a dumping ground. I have bagged the grass clippings, but lately they are dumping large piles of dead trees and limbs. The latest pile is into the actual road, which is already narrow enough. It is difficult enough for the plows to keep the road wide enough and clear in the winter, this will only make it harder.

Someone dumped 6 or 7 tires on Normanskill Drive between #3 and #4

Cyclists trying to continue on from the rail trail at South Pearl to the entrance of the existing trail by the US Slater have to dodge glass and construction debris on the shoulder of the 787 ramp. The entire stretch is filled with metal scraps, glass, etc. and has not seen any cleaning. Since there has been no sign of the dedicated connector for these trails, this is the route that everyone is taking and getting numerous flats or risking traffic to avoid the debris. Please have some maintenance done. Thank you.

Same issues, just another day. The street in this section is barely passable. The condition of the entire stretch of Normanskill is getting worse. We need our driveway resurfaced and the company won't do it until the street has been repaired. The ice in this particular spot near #3 Normanskill Drive is close to a foot deep in sections - with big ridges. Please have a supervisor come down to assess the condition. I keep reporting this and all that happens is more salt left. I can't be the only person who has concerns for this area.

This is a repeat issue - the reporting also includes snow/ice buildup. This particular hole is over a foot deep. It gets semi frozen and then cars drop down into it. Please see previous submissions for ongoing problem of deep ice and channels of water running through. Road is still snow and ice covered in this section.
