    Two apartment complexes are storing their garbage containers (large, 4 yard size) on the street, which blocks sidewalks and street.

    This is a follow up to an earlier entry which has been marked Closed (see attached pic).

    Please route this request to Emeryville Code Enforcement for additional follow up because the problem has not been corrected.

    The cross walk signal pole at the corner of West MacArthur and Peralta/Emery has been knocked over. This is located on the overpass where Peralta & Emery streets meet and West MacArthur passes underneath.

    “No Left Turn, No U-Turn” sign has been knocked down. Location is on San Pablo Avenue at West MacArthur intersection. It is in the center island, on San Pablo heading southbound.

    On the northwest and northeast corners of West MacArthur Blvd and Emery St (aka Peralta, behind Nordstrom’s Rack) the pedestrian signal button does not work. When the crossing buttons were automated for Covid, this pedestrian signal automatically turned green. Something recently changed and the pedestrian signal does not turn green, AND the button for pedestrians doesn’t work.

    There is a broken sprinkler head in front of 31 Flavors ice cream shop. When water is turned on, ALOT of water is running down gutter into drains. (I know this is private property, but I don’t know how to contact property manager.)

    On the northwest corner of West MacArthur Blvd and Emery St (aka Peralta, behind Nordstrom’s Rack) the pedestrian signal button to walk East has recently stopped working. This prevents pedestrians from safely crossing this busy intersection with a walk signal.

    At least 10 shopping carts and lumber carts,full of garbage, blocking lanes behind Home Depot. It’s been like this for weeks. People and animals wandering in the off ramp lane. I’m sure the businesses along 40th st would be happy to get their stolen property back. (hey SeeClickFix, can we get an HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT category here?)

    On Saturday, 9/16 at 1pm, meet at MacArthur & San Pablo and take a walking tour with Emeryville Councilman John Bauters. The issue of the homeless encampments is on the agenda!!

    If you're as concerned about the lack of progress on the homeless encampments as I am, BE THERE and MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.

    Also, CALL OAKLAND COUNCILWOMAN LYNETTE McELHANY at 510-238-7003 and ask her to be there and speak to what she is doing from the Oakland City Council perspective.
