Asking again on the scaffolding that's been up by the church on jersey ave and 4th street. It has been up for three years and I have been questioning when it will be removed for the last year. You always say you'll check into it but never follow up.

PLEASE, can you watch and ticket this area more agressively for no psrking permit vehicles???? It is just abused by the renters form the Embankment and Revanent buildings and even more so now that the parking lot on Erie is closed. It's so bad on on the square block from 9th Street to Jersey Ave. to 10th street and around Coles Street. It just needs better enforcement from the parking agency. Please have a supervisor address this .

I have asked about this over the last couple of years and never get a reply. I have been told you will respond but never do. What is happening with scaffolding at church on corner of Jersey Ave and 4th Street??? It has been there for years and I only see broken sidewalks, garbage, and unsafe conditions. Maybe this could be sent to the Mayor's office and Counsil members for a response too. It's just an unsafe eyesore on a very busy block.

Several weeks ago I reported a white van that has been parked for a few months. It has not moved for that entire time and I was concerned why someone would abandone a seemingly well kept van. It's very close to an overpass and as a resident it looked questionable or it could have been stolen. In any event, my reporting went unchecked. I was told by the parking agency that you could do nothing. Of course that's untrue. You were just being lazy. Today they are repaving the area and that white can is the only vehicle keeping them from paving the entire roadway, which was severely needed. This interrupts the entire process. Maybe you should try and be more proactive in the future when someone reports a suspicious problem. Please forward this to the mayor and city counsel so they could see what a great job you're doing!!
  • 18th St Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - Downtown
Someone really needs to address this issue. Cars are clearly parked illegally. The sign reads "no parking /no standing" not to mention it's a right turn lane onto Jersey Ave. It's dangerous to pedestrians as well as cars trying to make right turn. Why is the parking enforcement not taking this more seriously?? It is also happening on the other end of 18th Street at the right turn onto Cokes Street. Honestly, the whole area is out of control and really needs better enforcement. Pedestrians matter!!

On a day when one side of the street is closed you need to chalk more. Cars with no permit have been parked since the weekend and you have done nothing. Too many renters oark all weekend then just leave it there because they know you never come around unless reported.
  • 715-739 Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - Downtown
This area is very dangerous foe pedestrians trying to cross. The cars turning right from the Holland tunnel onto Jersey Ave going towards the mall or Hamilton Park never yield to pedestrians. There is no protection for pedestrians. Furthermore the street marking that says "25 mph school" is useless and not followed.

Three times over the last few weeks you've missed our entire side of the block. I let it go the first time as an accident, the second as a final chance, and now the third time is too much. As I said, you've also missed my neighbor's. Please, it's too hot to leave my garbage out all weekend. Have it picked up today and correct the problem. Prior to the last few weeks you only missed me once or twice in 5 years. Let's get back to normal.
  • 263 5th St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The scaffolding along Jersey Ave by the church has been there for over three years. Probably costing more than the repairs itself. When I wrote to you about this last year you said they were taking it down soon. It's been over a year and still no action. When do they have to take it down to avoid an accident? It is such an eyesore. Does the mayor or city counsel care about this at all? Do they ever read any of these posts and take an active role???

  • 455 Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - The Waterfront
This area on Second Street off Washington is dangerous. It's one way, but cars make the illegal left going wrong way to get into garage and Shoprite parking lot

This utility pole seems to be leaning and could come down. As you could see in the picture, part of the ground is dug out and it is getting deeper
  • Marginal Road And Coles Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Hudson County
I would like a response from the Mayor on this matter that was reported to the parking agency and their response. The case/report number is 5402913. A quick recap: a car (twice) was reported clearly parked in the crosswalk (area is very dangerous to pedestrians) and the Parking Agency's response is that they do not have jurisdiction of that street, Marginal Road. How rediculous for the Parking Agency to say they do not have jurisdiction on a Jersey City street!!!

I have been writing, along with others, how bad it is to walk on Coles Street between 10th Street and 18th Street and Monmouth street from 10th to 13th street . There are no sidewalks in places or too dirty and nasty to walk on. They are poorly lit and just overall unsafe. Yesterday someone was hit by a car on Monmouth and 12th Street. I think we're lucky it has happened just once so far, but it is going to keep happening until the area is fixed. Why haven't you had the builders, who are building around the area, upgrade the walkways???
  • Coles Street Between 9th Street And 10th Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Although the street has been policed pretty good lately, I see that the last twp weeks or so it is starting to get busy with illegally parked cars again. The Revenent building is opening and they are just parking illegally with others from the Embankment. Please we need some better enforcement. There are cars parking in the crosswalk off 10th right now along with several cars with no permit. They park all weekend (I know it's not illegal on the weekend) and they stay until they want.
  • 25 West Hamilton Place Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
The leaf cleaner (one guy) in Hamilton Park has done a great job. I know this is usually just a complaint site, but sometimes we need to acknowledge good work too. This guy for the past two or three weekends has cleaned up the entire park all by himself. That's a tough job and it should be recognized. Please extend my compliments to him.
  • 837 Jersey Ave Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
This can is literally blocking an entire lane. The whole weekend too!!!
The Iron Lofts always have illegally parked cars
  • Jersey Ave Between 9th And 10th Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Disgusting garbage all over. Probably left from pick up last night. Along with the 95 degrees it is going to be unbearable.
  • 286 9th Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Understandably trash collectors are busy, but to miss me a second time in such a short period is annoying. Especially when the bag is white and could be easily seen at night.
