    For the third time in the last 30 days, I am writing about a shopping cart that has been stashed among the green space on Peralta Oaks. You folks keep claiming the problem has been resolved, when it has in fact not. The same carrt is still there.

    Folks, that shopping cart is still there. I am not sure why you closed the issue, but it is not taken care of. Please remove. There is other garbage strewn along Peralta Oaks, too, and the utility box at the base of Barrett Street is perennially open. It does not seem to lock. This seems an invitation to vandalism.

    Someone seems to be trying to own the neighborhood with the tag "36...". Please abate ASAP. Last of FIVE known tags. This end-of-street warning sign has been hit before by taggers. There seems to be a progression: hit the wall as they exit the freeway. Turn left onto 106th and tag the underpass, signs. Turn right onto Peralta Oaks and tag trees and signs. Incidentally, Peralta Oaks could REALLY use some street lights in this exact area. The block between 106th and 107th in particular is pitch black after dark. It invites drug deals, homeless persons, in-vehicle tricks—even a MURDER last year (the neighborhood has seen it all). Please advise how we can get a light in!?

    2900 Block Of Barrett Street Oakland, CA - Chabot Park
    There are three large potholes in the 2900 block of Barrett. They were created when wastewater pipes were replaced as homes changed hands. None was filled properly and now they are large cavities in the road. These should have all been permitted and inspected by the city, no?

    10600 Peralta Oaks Oakland, California - Chabot Park
    This stretch of Peralta Oaks Court, between 106th and 107th (as well as between 107th and Barrett) is VERY dark at night. It is also the area where the man was murdered last year. Finally, several of us in the neighborhood have seen sketchy, if not criminal, behavior in this stretch of road (drug dealing, prostitution, homeless persons, abandoned cars, illegally parked cars, etc.). Please consider installing a street light or two, as are in place further down Peralta Oaks.
