    For many, many years, there has been a request for a crosswalk and curb cut/ramp from Pinewood to Broadway Terrace, across the traffic island that is adjacent to the Hwy 13 freeway entrance. There are no curb cut, ramp or slope to allow wheelchair access to the sidewalk. Strollers and small children on bike also have a difficult time navigating the large (10") curb. There is no crosswalk to notify cars of pedestrians that often walk and run from the neighborhood to Lake Temescal. I first put in this request when my children were babies. They are now teenagers. Seems like a decade would have been long enough to get this done. Or is the city waiting for someone to get seriously injured first?

    Trash is blocking a lane of traffic on Union Street, which creates safety issues for cars turning left from 7th Street.

    The street markings notifying drivers of a stop sign have deteriorated to the point of being invisible. I have seen cars drive through the stop sign, presumably because they didn’t realize it was there. This refers to the stop sign that is almost under the Hwy 13 overpass over Broadway Terrace.

    For whatever reason, the traffic light facing the exit to the parking lot of the North Oakland Regional Sports Center is starting to spin/rotate again. This has been fixed in the past, but does not stay in place. It is starting to face the traffic coming southbound (away from the tunnel) on Broadway. It is not critical yet, but if it starts to full face the opposite traffic, it will become a bigger problem and cause confusion/traffic accidents.

    Behind the back baseball field at Caldecott fields, there is a cement canal or storm drain that is completely full of mud. So, it is not serving its purpose of keeping runoff from the hill from hitting the baseball field. The cement canal is located at the edge of the chain-link fence and is it least 50 feet long. I am not sure whether there is a storm drain on one side of it that is blocked as well.

    Pothole is 6 inches deep and is a significant driving hazard. Looks to be14 to 16 inches in diameter. There is another pot hole in the same spot about 10 feet away, that is almost the same size.

    Two sprinklers -- one along the first baseline and one in right field -- of the large baseball field next to Chabot Elementary school are flooding the field and creating a lot of mud. The failing sprinkler in right field has created a large hole, which is dangerous.
