The pedestrian walk sign has not been working consistently for the past week. Many times when we push the ‘walk’ button, the walk sign does not appear and there is not enough time to cross before the light turns red.

Previously, the walk sign automatically went on, which was much better for pedestrians. This intersection can be quite dangerous as a pedestrian. Longer term, please consider also having the walk sign start just a few moments before the light turns green for cars turning left.

  • Coleman Ave & Willow Rd Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park

The traffic light at the corner of Willow and Coleman has some timing issues. In my experience, the pedestrian walk signal always turns on during every light cycle even if no pedestrians are present (i.e. nobody pushed the pedestrian crosswalk button) - this is an issue because it delays the cars unnecessarily, thereby increasing pollution from idling, etc.

Also, if you're on Coleman Ave, turning left onto Willow, the left turn signal has a long wait time (around 2 minutes?) and then sometimes doesn't stay green long enough for all the cars waiting to turn left to get through the intersection. Even when there is little or no traffic along Willow, the cars waiting to turn left from Coleman still have to wait quite a while. I've noticed these issues during my morning commute, between 8-9am (I'm not sure if the light patterns change at all based on time-of-date).

  • Olive St & Santa Cruz Ave Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
There is no stop sign at this intersection and it would be much safer if there was one. It does have a pedestrian crossing sign; however, pedestrians often do not press the button to cross and the lights on the signs will not flash. Since it is also a T intersection, during the afternoon, it is hard to see if pedestrians (or students, since the intersection is next to a school) are crossing since the sun is too bright and it blinds drivers, increasing the probability of a crash or running over a pedestrian. Instead of having a pedestrian crossing sign, a 3-way stop sign would be much more appropriate and safer for this specific intersection.
  • 1010 University Dr Menlo Park, California, 94025 - Menlo Park
At the cross walk in front of Draegers Supermarket at the corner of University Dr and Menlo Ave, the orange hand flag that pedestrians use to cross the street with are all gone. Please replace/replenish.
  • 990 Marsh Rd Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
Light for traffic on Florence Street eastbound is stuck on red for the last 15 minutes at least.
  • Chrysler Dr & Constitution Dr Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
The light does not register and change as often as most lights do. I've waited there at least 7 minutes yesterday with a line of cars behind me
  • Chrysler Dr & Constitution Dr Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
    Signal light doesn't change timely.
  • Chrysler Dr & Constitution Dr Menlo Park, California, 94025 - Menlo Park
The traffic light at Constitution Dr. turning onto Chrysler Dr. in the direction of in Bayfront Expressway does not seem to be programmed or working correctly. It does not turn green for an unusually long duration causing drivers to turn left onto Constitution when the light is red. This causes excessive backup in traffic and a potentially dangerous condition.
  • Laurel St & Ravenswood Ave Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
Heading south on Laurel and in the left turn lane to turn onto eastbound Ravenswood, the traffic signal did not detect me on a motorcycle. This was addressed about 2 months ago (#15014721) and seemed to be working better, but wasn't today at approximately 7:45am.
  • Bay Rd & Marsh Rd Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - North Fair Oaks
The light going Eastbound on Marsh Road at Bay Road has had some timing problems recently. It's only letting through a few cars before turning yellow. This is causing big backups on Marsh, all the way down to Middlefield.
  • Bay Rd & Marsh Rd Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - North Fair Oaks
The traffic light at Marsh and Bay heading east on Marsh towards 101 seems to be off with the cycle. I have noticed it multiple times in the late afternoon/early evening where the light only lets 4 - 5 cars through on green and then switches to yellow. The lanes going in the opposite direction towards Middlefield have a much longer green light.
  • Marsh Rd & Bay Rd Menlo Park, California, 94025 - North Fair Oaks
The light at the intersection of Marsh and Bay has been an issue this week. A change has been made that has made the left hand turn from Marsh onto Bay when exiting 101 incredibly challenging. When the light turns green, one car goes through and it turns yellow. This did not used to be the case. In watching traffic the last few days there are many times when there is no approaching traffic and the light remains red. The light was backed up the last two days from Bay almost to the 101.
  • 2121 Sand Hill Rd Menlo Park, California, 94025 - Menlo Park
The left turn light on Sand Hill Rd to turn on to address 2121 Sand Hill Rd is malfunctioning. For a few days now, that left turn arrow gets "skipped" and so you're left waiting for about 10 minutes before you can eventually turn. Most of the time, I just drive past that intersection, and then do a U-turn further up the road. Thank you.
  • Bay Rd & Marsh Rd Menlo Park, California, 94025 - North Fair Oaks
The signals at Bay and Marsh having timing issues. I think it was recently repaired but resident has reported that there are only a few cars when coming off of Marsh turning to the highway or Bay. Please evaluate if traffic loop is working properly. Area has also been reported by Police Dispatch previously in the past 2 months.
  • Laurel St & Oak Grove Ave Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park

The light at the intersection of Laurel and Oak Grove, on Laurel going north, never turned green after several rounds of the other directions turning green. The cars backed up on Laurel significantly. This happened most recently to me on Mon 8/28 at 6:50pm, but has happened to me before also. I ended up turning around so I don’t know how long it lasted. Please check the proper functioning of the trigger signal going north on Laurel St at that intersection. Maybe it has something to do with the newer bike lane location?

    Thanks,
    Anja Brau

  • Marsh Rd & Scott Dr Menlo Park, California, 94025 - Menlo Park
Street Light sensor issue has been occurring at Marsh Road and Scott Drive leaving Friendly Acres. Residents have reported that traffic signal does not activate if vehicles don't stop and for vehicles that are allowed in it is often 3 vehicles at a time and is very short. Please evaluate.
