These dumpsters live in the bike lane – and in front of a red curb. Please work with that business to move the dumpsters.

Construction at target driveway is completely blocking the bike lane. Emeryville construction regulations Require the project to create an alternate lane for bikes. The current situation sends bikes into dangerous, fast-moving traffic.

Northbound on Adeline - the light cycle is not long enough for a bike to cross. Light turns green on 57th or Market while I’m in the intersection. This was recently fixed but needs to be fixed again. Thanks.

Northbound market street crossing 40th - traffic camera doesn’t since bicycles in the bike lane. The light turned green for southbound car while it stayed red in the northbound direction where I, on a bicycle, was the only traffic. The camera is pointed at the car lane and away from the bike lane. Please fix this. Thank you.

Eastbound Stanford crossing Hollis – the camera doesn’t seem to be recognizing bicycles. I waited for a very long time during a period of light traffic and the light didn’t turn for me until someone push the button.

Another bicyclist and I were almost hit by cross traffic on 57th Street. We started when the light turned green. The new light timing doesn’t allow enough time for bicycles to cross this long intersection.

In addition, there are no clues that the light has changed once you enter the intersection. You can’t see a traffic light or ped countdown light, as you could before the intersection was redesigned.

In addition, the placement of the camera for northbound traffic on Adeline points at the car lane with no way for bikes to trigger the light.

I understand the reason for some of these changes for pedestrian and car safety, but bikes were left out of the equation (not for the first time) on a busy and important bicycle connection. I ride through there several times a week and this intersection is more dangerous for me since the redesign.

This dumpster has been parked blocking the entrance to the separated Bike lane every time I have passed this way in the last few weeks. I’m sure this is not where this dumpster is supposed to be parked. At the very least, it should be pulled back a few feet so it doesn’t block the bike lane.

Part of the sidewalk near a utility pipe coming out of the building we’re grocery outlet HQ is located is loose and coming up. This is a tripping hazard. It’s on the east side of Hollis, next to the side of the grocery outlet building.
  • 5887 Beaudry St Emeryville 94608, United States - Emeryville
Northbound light on Beaudry crossing Paul doesn’t seem to be working, at least for a bicycle. The light on Powell turns red momentarily, then back to green. Beaudry never gets a green Unless the walk button is pushed or a car comes in the other direction.

There are boards covering the gutter at the corners of Marshall and Ocean. As my wife walked across today at the NE corner, the end board came loose and caused her to fall. We left the board askew so no one else would step on it, thinking it's good. The boards on the NW corner look like they are coming loose too.

Why not add sidewalks to this block of Marshall? It's not safe the way it is.

  • 63rd And San Pablo Oakland, California - Paradise Park

Eastbound signal on 63rd does not seem to detect bicycles.

Please reevaluate the timing of the lights at this intersection. Eastbound traffic on 63rd and northbound traffic on San Pablo waits for a loooong time while southbound San Pablo has a left turn signal. The left turn pocket is usually cleared long before the other traffic gets to go. I have seen every kind of traffic - cars, pedestrians, and bicycles - cross San Pablo against the light because the signal takes so long to turn.

Westbound 63rd at San Pablo operates better and does detect bikes.

  • Beaudry And Powell Emeryville, California - Emeryville
Southbound traffic signal on Beaudry at Powell fails to recognize bicycles. I have been through this intersection several times in the last two weeks and can't get it to turn. The northbound signal works fine and the pedestrian button works.
  • Stanford And Hollis - Emeryville
Westbound Stanford Street traffic signal cannot be activated by bicycles. Detector loop is in the wrong place since Street has been reopened. The camera at this intersection does not appear to be activated. Bicyclist must dismount and press the button if no cars are present. This is been the case for months. When will it be fixed? Thank you.
