This drainage canal is underneath the street but becomes visible as it goes behind my property. Water sits there most of the time which becomes conducive to mosquitoes. However, it's worse when it down pours and the canal cannot handle the flux of water.
Due to erosion, drainage canal has become too narrow for the amount of rain that it's supposed to handle.
There's a tree that is not too close to the edge of the canal that may fall since its roots are in the water when the canal is full of water.
This issue impacts my backyard because it becomes flooded as there is not enough room for the water to drain.
I assume the canal can be cleaned to allow more water to drain. I have attached a picture here but have several more that show the severity of the flooding in my backyard. However, I am allowed to attached only one pic here. I will glad to share other photos.
