Bayway Isles

Large fish kill in residential canals (Bayway Isles). Outside air quality is extremely poor, residents state they are unable to go outside and some are planning on evacuating. Please add our community to the list of areas that need cleanup as soon as possible.

Windstorm on 9/6 demolished a portion of the PVC fence around the city's lift station at Leeland St and 60the Ave S, see photo.

Vegetation over 24" tall growing into street and blocking view of traffic.

Yard debris piled up in driveway. Front yard is bare dirt which is washing into the roadway.

Street in disrepair after work on potable water line. The entire repaved area has sunk because the underlaying soil was not properly compacted before repaving.

Overgrowth - grass and weeds over 10" high. (This is not a duplicate, two prior 2019 overgrowth cases were closed)

Pothole on north side of road surface adjacent to curb.

Tarp on roof - tarp is not an approved roofing material.
Gate to side yard is broken and hanging loose.

These are additional Code violations and need a new case opened.

Front yard is completely devoid of sod or other ground cover, in violation of 16.40.060.2.1.2.

Royal Palm tree in ROW is dying and in danger of falling. See previous SCF issue: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/5434996

The Palm that was planted at the city's lift station about three or four years ago is dying. Please have the water resources landscaping contractor review and replace if necessary.

Roof has been repaired with a tan tarp, which is a non-approved roofing material.

Numerous sidewalk slabs cracked, broken and/or sinking. Large delivery trucks have been parking on the sidewalk on the east side of Leeland just south of the Pinellas Bayway (where loading zone signs are). Additional broken slabs south of this area on the east side. One broken slab on west side of Leeland where sidewalk begins.south of marked crosswalk. See photos for typical examples.

Junk, trash, and debris on property.

Overgrown grass in front yard and over curb.

Overgrowth - "Living wall" hedge on west side of property is overheight. Vines n front of home are growing over shrubs and other landscaping. Grass in back yard has not been mowed and is more than 12 inches high - this can be seen from the street on the east side of the property.

There is an active bee colony / hive located in the dilapidated concrete privacy wall along the north side of 62nd Ave South, just east of 51st St South. See attached photo for location.
