Someone walked into my yard Saturday morning, dumped my trash and stole my city trash bag. The bags are so expensive folks are now stealing them from yards/trashcans. (?!?) Can we get a second "trash" bin like South Portland does? That way we could use cheap Glad bags. Now I have to find a way to lock up my trash? This is ridiculous Portland!!!

Recycling seems to have been missed yesterday on Emerson Street. If you could send a truck back down the street to collect it would be appreciated.

There's so much "stuff" on the sidewalk in front of 129 Middle Street, more than one person cannot pass at the same time. Now imagine someone with a wheelchair trying to get through. Not going to happen. Please address.

If the City would like to make a few extra $$, consider placing unmarked PPD cars along Emerson Street. Too many cars driving from Congress towards Turner, Quebec and Melbourne - This street has been one way heading towards Congress for several decades now. Almost had a head-on last night when a dipstick drove down the wrong way.

A purple trash bag was missed at this location and now critters are getting into it and trash is spreading. Please send someone to collect.

Tree is hanging too close to sidewalk, making passing difficult for anyone over 4' tall. Please prune as this will be impassable this winter.

I fell Monday morning at the corner of Eastern Prom and Turner Street (Crandall Toothaker's "garden" spot), and hurt my wrist and knee, losing time at work. If the folks who own these multi-million dollars houses don't have to treat their sidewalks, I'm wondering why I'm breaking my back hauling sand buckets for my sidewalks? This may be the last year I do that, if the folks with the $ don't seem to have to. Can someone prod Crandall off his butt to check the sidewalks abutting his properties?

What's going on Portland? Street lights are not working throughout the City and it is becoming a bigger and bigger safety issue. What in the world are you doing with our taxes?!? I would think with what we pay for those gawd awful trash bags, the City could pay for these repairs. Please get your collective "stuff" together, with CMP if necessary, and get the lights back on.

I'm curious as to why the city doesn't do more to inform property owners how they can be held liable for someone's medical bills and/or lost wages if they don't clear & treat their sidewalks? It's in the code book, if someone falls on a sidewalk that isn't cleared or sanded, the property owner who abuts said sidewalk is liable for that person's medical bills and/or lost wages, not the city. Maybe folks would get off their duffs and shovel/sand if they knew this? Most I talk with are not aware of their liability in that respect.

The city tree along this property's Emerson St side is bringing the bricks up with its roots (old, big tree). Could you work the same magic with these bricks and roots as you did with the tree on Turner St a month or so ago?

Water from a sump pump (?) at this location has covered the sidewalk in a sheet of ice. It's a vacant property, so could the city please spread some sand or something on it?

Can I make a suggestion to my fellow city dwellers? If you find an unresponsive person PLEASE call 911. That could make a difference in whether or not a life is saved. This site is monitored by administrative personnel, and they're not sitting, watching it every second. If a human is in need of emergency medical assistance, a call will get that for them faster than this site will.

The smoke from the "Polar Express" is awful. Driving home I could smell it in my car with the windows closed. Walking along the Promenade when it blows is awful. Would imagine it's toxic. Do not recall it being that obnoxious in years past.

Also, someone needs to contact PWD as the bugs need attending in the domes. When they aren't being tended to properly, the waste they're supposed to eat starts to smell and permeate the neighborhood. Come on boys, get off your lazy butts and take care of those bugs!
