Traffic light at Clairemont & Michigan is not working properly Signal is fine for north/south traffic on Clairemont as well as for exiting off of Wilton, however the signal for traffic exiting from Michigan onto clairemont is not working Stays red Sat through 4 cycles (and there were several cars in line, so I'm sure the sensor could pick up weight).
  • Paden Cir Decatur GA 30030, United States - Decatur
The traffic signal/light is out at W. Howard/Paden Circle When traveling east on W. Howard, the light which is the most left is out. This includes the left turn arrow which causes you to miss your chance to turn (as all you can see is the red on the most right light signal)

Something has been washed into the storm water system. This is adjacent to the little trail off of Kathryn that connects to N. Parkwood It looks like it may be sticky, as you can see it inside the concrete pipe (no water was coming through when I photographed).

  • 100–150 N Mcdonough St Decatur GA 30030, United States - Decatur
I was traveling north on s. Mcdonough st., crossed the railroad tracks and was approaching the traffic light just north of the tracks (now N. McDonough st.). I definitely had a protected, left hand green turn arrow. I noticed a south bound vehicle approaching at full speed (not excessive, but it was obvious they weren't preparing to stop). Thankfully I yielded (even though I had the green turn arrow) and allowed the car to pass I looked in my rear view mirror and south bound traffic ALSO had a green light I'm pretty sure if one has a green turn arrow that means that turn is protected (and the other traffic has a red light). I definitely did not have a blinking yellow turn light nor a red light This is going to lead to accidents Timing needs to be fixed
  • 124 Harold Byrd Dr Decatur GA 30030, United States - Decatur
There appears to be a water leak coming from the center of Harold Byrd Dr. You can see the water flowing from below the asphalt, almost dead in the center line of the street I will note that this is in the immediate vicinity where work was being performed yesterday (on the road shoulder opposite 127) by a utility company (Same company I see around decatur today UCIS? Something along those lines).

Hello, I am concerned about the safety of a large oak tree which is adjacent to the walking path on Harold Byrd (south). The ground surrounding this tree is no longer firm It is bouncy/spongy/springy I walk this path almost daily, and this has never felt this way until last week I had a friend confirm that it was not my imagination I note that this is in close proximity to an area which clearly suffers a lot of erosion, including underground (obvious from looking at the nearby light pole). I'm concerned the earth below the path may be washing out I'm available to meet if anyone would like to do so, to help them locate the tree

Hello, I emailed David Junger about this in February of 2020 (after our house flooded from the Clairemont water main break) but did not receive a response (although I realize it may not be within his purview). We lost a tremendous amount of our curbing height after Westchester was repaved approx 2 years ago. City Engineering standards state curbs should be at a height of 6"; we are lucky if we have 1" curbs along portions of our property (the highest point being 5"), with additional breaches of completely missing curb We have lived here almost 12 years, have a sound waterproofing system with sump pump, back up sump pump, all drains are clear, etc., but ever since the repaving our house floods Everything with the waterproofing system is in working order This water infiltrates from a part of the house that would be on the receiving end of all the water that jumps the 1" curb Can we **please** have the curbing along our property brought up to the city engineering standard of 6"? The angle of this photo makes it appear as if the curb height is 2", but I was at a disadvantage trying to hold the yard stick and photo at the same time It really is only 1" high

None of the cross walk signals are working, no matter if the buttons are pushed, no matter how many times the light cycles This is resulting in pedestrians crossing "against" the walk signal and creating tense moments with motorists who are unaware and think pedestrians are just crossing against the signal

School owned properties on westchester drive (204 & 208, I believe) need yard maintenance. The second house is used as a cut through for kids to get to westchester, and this is currently an unsafe situation.
  • 205 Westchester Drive Decatur, GA - Decatur
There are two holes (I'm assuming caused by erosion)--potential sinkhole situation. The largest of the two is located between the mailbox at 205 Westchester Dr. and the light pole. It is about the size of a beach ball and is so deep (looks to be going under the asphalt) that I can't see the bottom. The adjacent light pole has begun to noticeably lean (toward the street). The second, smaller hole can be found if you continue to walk along the sidewalk toward 211 Westchester. In this direction, the hole is on the right hand side (the house side) of the sidewalk, adjacent to 205 Westchester and before you get to the next driveway. This *may* be a rabbit hole, or the like, but that first hole can't be made by any animal we have around these parts!! Please let me know if someone would like me to meet them to point out these holes (although you really can't miss the first one).

Tornado siren at Westchester Elementary is not working. We live right behind the school, and I can actually see the siren from my house. We could hear sirens in the distance on 2/1/2017, but realized we didn't hear the one practically in our back yard. I looked out, and noted that the siren was additionally not turning. Thank you!
