Charlotte St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
DPW replaced the corner sidewalk at the Southwest corner of Charlotte and Catherine. The cement was poured and has been dried for two weeks. However, they apparently forgot about the project. The sidewalk remains taped and closed, making it inaccessible to wheelchairs, strollers and walkers. It is very annoying. This is part of the paving of Charlotte St - a one block street. The project has been "active" for over two months. The project is yet incomplete as there is still construction related debris scattered about the street. If there are reasons why the project can't be complete - why cant DPW communicate with us??? Every neighborhood has a Front Porch Forum. It boggles my mind why there is so little communication - between last years never ending water pipe replacement and this summer's repaving - DPW has failed to keep our neighborhood updated on projects and progress. We are very frustrated.
  • Intersection Of Howard Street / St.Paul St. / South Winooski Ave. Burlington, Vermont - Burlington Electric
This intersection is a route to school (Edmunds) for kids in the Five Sisters neighborhood and other South End neighborhoods. This is a complicated, 5-way intersection with no Walk /Don't Walk signals. Would like to see pedestrian improvements or a crossing guard assigned.
