Recently my neighbors and I have noticed an uptick in coyote activity in our neighborhood and the surrounding areas. This weekend two coyotes attacked and killed my neighbors cat, and were bold enough to stand their ground when confronted by the cat's owner. We have a lot of residents who walk our neighborhood, with dogs and alone, in the evening hours and in the early morning hours - it's only a matter of time until a person is attacked by these coyotes, especially if they're moving in groups of two or more as they were this weekend. Can the county/city please make a better attempt to track and capture these animals? The answer is not "call the police", because this isn't a police matter... please tell me there's a better system in place than that?
