To Parks & Rec: please mow more of the area around the playground and entrance from the Grove St neighborhood. The weeds, sumac and other brush are reducing the usable size of the park. Neighborhood volunteers from the OEENC have cut back the bigger sumac so this are can be mowed and better maintained.
    Thank you!

Pedestrian activated crossing light on button no longer works. The light works and can be activated on the 60 Grove Street side, but not at 63 Grove.
  • Schimanska Park Grove St, Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
The pedestrian activated light in front of Schmanska Park on Grove St was removed a month or so ago and the remaining light no longer works. Not sure why one light was removed, but this is a dangerous situation for pedestrians and needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Please replace the light that was removed and make both lights operational again. If the light can't be replaced any time soon due to the weather, please at least make the remaining light operational again.

Warren Spinner - What happened ot our 6 beautiful mature maples at Schmanska Park. I was horrified to find them cut down with absolutely no warning last night. We planted these trees together 25 years ago, with plenty of space left for the sidewalk that SD Ireland is now building. We planned it that way all those years ago, figuring someday someone would come along with the money to build the sidewalk. Couldn't you have at least given the neighorhood the courtesy of a notice and time for comment and feedback. I am just fit to be tied about this. It's like a death in the family!
