Burlington DPW

Fall Leaf Pickup: Due to early season snow, we are still picking leaves up.

Updated on

UPDATE: Due to early season snow, we are still picking leaves up on normal recycling days through the end of next week (12/15). Please set (or leave - no punt intended) them out on your normal recycling day.

Public Works picks up bagged leaves every year around Thanksgiving. Last year Burlington residents composted over 150 tons of leaves!  This year’s dates are November 26-November 30, 2018. Leaves will be picked up the same day as your recycling. Due to the recent freeze and snow, our crews will be keeping an eye out for additional bagged leaves the weeks of 12/3 and 12/10 on your normal recycling days. You can also drop leaves off at any CSWD facility or at the McNeil Wood and Yard Debris Depot.  If you need more information on locations or proper disposal of yard debris, please visit https://cswd.net/a-to-z/yard-debris/. Sometimes, especially on the Monday and Tuesday of that week, DPW may get "ahead" and pickup leaves on the next days route.  Don't Worry! We will be back to get everyones leaves!  If you did get missed, please call 863-9094 or use seeclickfix.com. Thank you for helping to keep Burlington a beautiful place to live, work and play.
