I also live in this neighborhood & have seen multiple near accidents & speeding vehicles at the N Lincoln crossing. We have many children in our neighbor who like to ride bikes/walk to the park & it has become too dangerous even with parents present. Vehicles do not slow down for pedestrians. Our family can no longer safely walk across N Lincoln for fear of our safety. PLEASE consider our request for a stoplight button on this road.

A traffic collision just happened in this intersection and it makes me even more concerned about our safety. People often drive too fast on this road. If we cannot get a signal on the crosswalk, then I ask for a speed bump before the turning lanes. If drivers have to slow down for a speed bump, then pedestrians can cross with more confidence in their safety. Something needs to be done here.

This intersection is very dangerous. My kids and I frequently venture across on foot or by bike and it’s not easy but in order to leave our little neighborhood we have to. Sometimes cars will stop to let us go but it is 4 lanes and even when one car stops some still keep going (even if the person stopped is going the same direction). People frequently speed and sometimes do donuts in the intersection. There is a slight veer in the road just west of the intersection which makes visibility even harder. There are plants in the center divide that makes cars harder to see at any time of day. And when the sun is in certain places the all afore mentioned gets worse. If a traffic light (best option) is not an option I would at least like to see blinking lights to signal walkers and more warning signs for foot traffic. Thank you. This is a very dangerous crossing for pedestrians and drivers alike! The long stretch of uninterrupted road emboldens drivers to drive well over the speed limit, and they do not take caution of families, kids, and individuals. It’s a popular street for walking, running, air evening strolls with families and must offer a safer environment. Let’s not wait till an accident claims the life of someone!
