Description

The lights at the small out building at veterans Park have not worked for a number of years. In the past couple of years there have been some homeless folks sleeping in the area. While I personally don't mind this, I do mind the covered shelter being very dark after sundown. If we could just get the lights on that are already on the structure that would help a lot just so I can tell if there are people there and not feel like I need to watch out for someone creeping up on me in the dark. I've also seen that the police have monitored the area and number of times, having lights might prevent them from needing to do this (as well as help prevent graffiti again). I find myself turning on the tennis court lights just to provide light to the area, which is completely unnecessary as they are large and probably way more costly than the small lights already on the building.
