Thank you for your request. This has been identified as one of the gaps in the sidewalk system but has not yet been specifically programmed as a capital project. Currently, in City Ordinance, adjacent property owners are responsible for the cost of new infrastructure, such as water main, sanitary sewer, and sidewalks. A proposal will be appearing on the November 2020 ballot for a millage to cover the cost of new sidewalk. After the election, the City will revisit the prioritization of the existing sidewalk gaps for installation.

The area has been identified in the City's New Sidewalk program, but is not yet budgeted for in the Capital Improvements Plan. Please refer to the City's webpage, https://www.a2gov.org/departments/engineering/Pages/New-Sidewalks-FAQ.aspx, for more information regarding the new sidewalk program.
