Description

This is Allie has always been a problem because it is not paved and it is a big hill so when water runs down it it is a river creating deep potholes. Recently we had two houses being built and they tore the alley up even more. Recent rains have caused new pot holes from the top of the alley 3/4 of the way down. The water is running towards my house.

also asked...
Q. What flooding problem are you reporting? (choose one of the following)
A. Alley Flooding
Q. Describe the location of the flooding (where and approximately how deep was the flood water?)
A. Water run down this alley like a river because it is on quite a bit of a hill. Potholes are six and 7 inches deep in some places. The water runs about 4 inches deep
Q. How long did the flooding last? Please provide the date(s) and time(s)
A. During all these rains it happens every day
Q. Has flooding occurred at this location at other times in the past? If so, how frequently?
A. It’s Alley floods all the time. While it’s flooding it is also creating huge potholes making it difficult to navigate
Q. Please provide any additional comments or information, such as if this event was caused by severe weather or tidal activity? Was there movement to the flood water? Was the flooded area close to a storm drain? If known, please provide the finished floor elevation of your home as well as any other property-related details.
A. Sally has always been a problem. It needs to be paved desperately. During the rainy season I call it the Grand Canyon of St. Petersburg. My house sits on the back of the alley and the back door is at ground level. I have had to shovel out the alley to provide a place for the water to go so it doesn’t go into my house. I do this multiple times every year. I’ve tried to build up a bermIt rocks but it’s not enough because they wash away during the flooding
