We all know the growth that's occurred over the years for downtown Raleigh in the Glenwood south area. However the traffic is major going there all day and we need to get the traffic controlled there once and for all, for all the family's that live along the corridor. I believe it's time for speed traps to be set up from the five points area to peace street. Thank you for your time, Bob McGuire
Per RPD: Downtown District Officers have been working in this area and enforcement action is taken when necessary. In addition, speed measuring signs that record data have been installed on Glenwood Avenue.
This morning making coffee in my kitchen, I witnessed cars speeding by at 7:13 am from my bishops park/ Glenwood ave address facing Glenwood. Where they placed the speeding sign lights going into the Glenwood south district and the real problem exists further up the street to the school area and Jordan day care center. I employ for a officer to run radar in that area sitting around the Washington st / Glenwood area and they'll agree with me that there's heavy speeding going on that area. Thanks Bob
And I thank the RPD for the diligent work, however the speed sign is situated down next to a stop light just about next to mellow mushroom. I feel to properly get a good reading is to put it up closer to Fred fletcher park in the southern side of Glenwood ave going towards the city. That's where there speeding and not down next to the stop light next to mellow mushroom. Thank you Bob
