Description
Curious if the city is issuing special permits for self important people to use the parks while everyone else is shut out due to a very real and dangerous public health crisis. This lady seems to have figured out the loophole.
If the city isn’t going to enforce important public health regulations, then people like this should be photographed and publicly shamed.

The spread of covid19 is when you get droplets on your hand and you then touch your face. As long as people stay at least 6 ft from each other and wash your hands and don’t touch your face you will be fine.
And I believe the mayor has said that it’s ok if you walk your dog, and to just keep a good space from other people.

As for public shaming, I agree with you.
It’s unnecessary.
But, I’m quite disappointed with the lack of regard people have for COVID19 and the influx the system is having to handle... first hand:
WE ARE OVERWHELMED!!! STAY HOME!!!!!!

We absolutely must shame them. The city is doing nothing to enforce a rule that is DESIGNED TO SAVE LIVES. So we need to act as a community, making examples of those who are literally putting people's lives at risk.
One arrogant, self-important woman in the park isn't going to spread the virus. But problem is that it's signaling behavior. Who else is going to see this flagrant disregard for their fellow taxpayer's health, and then also use the park. Now we have 2 people walking dogs, then 10, then the kids are back on the b/ball court in close proximity. And even if they don't have symptoms, they then pass it to someone else who dies. It's that serious.
It's unfortunate that some people feel they are above the rules, even when it comes to helping to protect the community. But here we are. And that's why it's a good thing to photograph, name (if you can), and shame them on every platform available. The city isn't doing anything to enforce its own rules, so we are in a position where we must.

Thus Justice will be served and a welcome distraction from the current situation created.

@HP resident: I'm not sure how acting like a community = shaming people.
I agree she is in the wrong by walking her dog in the park. She is violating the rules. However, we don't need to be nasty people either. One bad seed doesn't mean we all have to turn into bad seeds.
CAN PEOPLE PLEASE WEAR MASKS!!!!!!! This would solve a huge bit of the problem... TRANSMISSION. just wear masks. Honestly I don't know why we are all upset about someone walking in the park but not on the street w/o masks. It's outrageous to me.
Just. cover. your. mouth. and. nose. with. some. barrier. PAHLLEEEASE.
walking through the park versus walking down the street w/o a mask... there's literally no difference.
