Good morning City of Oakland,

Happy Holidays! I am revent owner of the home at 5345 Wentworth Ave, Oakland CA. When I bought the house, it came with a blue painter curb and sign in front of my property because the previous house owner was disabled. The previous house owners (Eric Russ and Rosia Young) had the blue sign and curb for more than five years. They have since passed away. Now that I live in this home, a neighbor which is pictured in the photo, uses a handicap sign illegaly to park outside of my house because there happens to be a blue curb. My neighbor is able body who works construction, and do not have absolutely any use for a handicap curb. Given that the previous home owners were disabled before I moved in, there is no use for a blue curb anymore. I would like the City to please paint the curb back to normal and remove the sign as soon as possible please because that disabled parking spot has been the center of illegal abuse and arguments among neighbors. By removing the sign because there is no one with any disabilities living here anymore; it opens up that parking spot for anyone in the neighborhood.
