Description
Excessive rock salt on streets.

Q. What is your suggestion?
A. There is an excess amount of rock salt along my street as well as others in this area. It gets crushed into a fine powder by vehicles and blows around covering everything. Every vehicle is covered in it. Salt is highly corrosive to vehicles, iron work, any metals, vegetation and even masonry not to mention the environmental impact from runoff into waterways. I realize the need for salting the roads in winter but the trucks are laying down way too much. Can we at least get the spreaders better calibrated to throw a reasonable amount. Also, the sweepers have not been around to clean this up since. Oh... also, you are wasting salt.
