  Thank you for reporting this sidewalk issue. The Department of Public Services maintains a listing of reported sidewalk defects around the City and prioritizes them based on relative severity and public safety. Concrete sidewalk repairs can be limited due to weather constraints.

  Hi there - I would like to know the disposition of this sidewalk repair. Where is this list of reported sidewalk defects and what the priority is based on the severity of the damage. This is not a concrete sidewalk, it has already clearly been patched with asphalt that is already a MAJOR HAZARD to anyone.

  Thank you for submitting a follow up, we maintain our list at the Department of Public Services. We do apologize we have not been able to repair this sidewalk as of yet. We will work to complete this sidewalk repair as soon as possible.

  Still awaiting an answer just as to maybe a year it might be scheduled to be worked on? I do know sidewalks and side roads all around this location have recently or are currently being worked on, can someone just tell me when this work is scheduled please? I would like to coordinate it with improvements to my property as well and just know what year it's scheduled for would be nice. This has literally been unanswered since 2019 by DPS.

  We have inspected the sidewalk for repair and have placed this repair on our list. We will do our best to complete repair in a timely manner. With that said we currently have a high volume of sidewalk repairs on our list, which will affect our ability to complete this request this year.

  Thank you for your reply - this request must be high up on the list because it was placed in 2019. I do understand that emergency repairs must go to the top of the list but your response implies that this task is on the bottom of the list of needed repairs. Also, can you just give me an idea of what "timely" means from the perspective of your sidewalk repair program - does that mean 1, 2, 3 or more years before a repair should be expected and it would still be considered timely? Do you have a formal schedule (like a MS Project schedule) of repairs/work orders that can be shared to the general public?

  I'd like to make a suggestion that a published schedule be posted and kept current by the DPS of all road/sidewalk work - a lot of other small cities do this and it is extremely helpful to citizens.

  The Department of Public Service operation includes the maintenance, repair and construction services while maintaining 130 miles of streets, parks, playgrounds, public areas, and cemeteries. As our time is spread to multiple areas it would be difficult for us to give you an approximate time of when your sidewalk would be repaired. Please know that we place a high priority on sidewalk repair and will do everything to repair this sidewalk as soon as possible. In addition, thank you for your feedback and we will take that under advisement.
