Yup I second this. All evening until Late screaming matches, arguments, obvious sounds of people on drugs or high. Hanging out on steps. Being loud and obnoxious.

Saw someone at 1030a yesterday smoke crack in the steps a few doors down (calling police useless as you gotta catch them in the act)

Time for more patrols. It hasn’t been this bad in a while, but it’s getting bad.

I’ve noticad aswell. For over a week now shurtledd st filled with drug users and sellers harassing normal people walking by. It’s getting dangerous and calling police once or twice never helps with these situations. We need night patrols on these streess before nomeone gets assaulted or worse.

3rd or 4th what my fellow citizens are saying. I barely feel safe walking my dog in the middle of the day forget venturing out after dark

I called the police last week to report a man shooting up on the corner. 40 mins later the junkie was still there swaying back and forth. I can’t tell you the last time I saw a cop car drive down Shurtleff.

Also, 5:30 in the morning someone asked if I wanted to buy a GPS.

I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request to monitor this area more frequently given the reported illegal drug activity. This location is within walking distance of the police station.

Still as of 9/3 this issue is going on, all night on the corner of shurtleff and Chester groups of men coming in and out of shadowy areas selling Drugs and basically walking up to and either asking to sell drugs or intimidating anyone walking by. I’m not sure why there’s not more patrols in the area at this time since this is happening nightly. You can clearly see the bags of cocain they are holding and selling from I’m not sure why this is such a hard problem for a 2 square mile city with so many police officers to solve

At this point, complaining on this app isn’t going to change much. We need to take these complaints directly to city hall and Chief Keyes. I have zero years in law enforcement and can tell a low-level gang has moved onto Shurtleff.
