EBMUDs response is that it is scheduled for repair? They are becoming more dysfunctional than the City of Oakland if that is even possible.

The fire hydrant was knocked down on Weds., 6/05/19, and EBMUD was quick to turn off the water at the street. The pipe was damaged so unfortunately water has been leaking ever since.

My unanswered queries to EBMUD were for a repair status and for an estimated time of repair. I contacted the city, today, to see if they knew more. (The city representative at 311 was very helpful.)

I am confident that EBMUD does have this broken hydrant on their radar. Marks made on the sidewalk indicate some work activity. Actual fire hydrant was removed.

Just seems odd to be without a working fire hydrant for so long.

Fingers crossed that this will be fixed soon.

Good news:
On Monday, 7/02/19, EBMUD installed a new fire hydrant and replaced broken pipeline. They did a very neat and tidy job. Jackhammer work was necessary. Asphalt was used.

(Glad this happened before the holiday fireworks.)

=> Not sure if the fire hydrant has been inspected, yet.

The Oakland PWD own rules require the all sidewalk repairs be done with concrete. Though there own crews cheat all the time and use asphalt. Maybe this is a temporary patch waiting for an inspection. If not repaired with concrete please re-post.
