The reverse angled parking spaces were intentional. Reverse angled parking provides many safety benefits including better visibility of pedestrians, bicyclists, and on-coming vehicles to motorists as they exit their parking and enter the travel lane. In addition, the trunks of the vehicles are curb side so patrons can access their trunks safely on the sidewalk rather than standing in the travel lane.
