Description
These large half-round, solid concrete “bumps” are installed inside the right-side white boundary line of the travel lanes on W Ponce De Leon Ave. While driving recently, I ran over one or both of the two bumps in the photo. I did not go outside of my lane at any time, but since they are in the white line, I did hit them. They caused $300 damage to my car. My two-month old tire basically exploded. These bumps are a safety hazard since they cause tires to blow out and there are many other options available to serve the intended purpose. Many of the bumps are busted/broken from repeated strikes by cars. While taking this photo I observed a car run over a bump. These should all be removed and replaced with appropriate reflectors/lane markers/warning bumps that do not blow out the tires of anyone who drives over them.
