It's now Friday night and still nothing has changed. They tore up this section of the road during the first week of August and haven't touched it since -- now 7 weeks later.
Do you know who we might get in touch with at the County office to help fix this?

it still not fixed, been more than the end of the week! its been since august 4th!!!!

my neighbors have called the county, the state, the city, and its been ripped up for just about 2 months, and its like less than a 1/4 a mile to pave! we are wrecking our cars, should we send the bill to the county for my girlfriends underbody repairs when they are needed? she bottoms out pulling into our driveway everyday. something is wrong. i hope they are not waiting to finish that bridge or something dumb.

We suggest that you make your requests to the Passaic County Engineer. This is a County project which has been delayed for some reason.

Can you share contact information (name, phone number, email) for the Passaic County Engineer?
It's rather odd that this small section of roadwork has been abandoned.

I will be contacting him today and hope my neighbors will do the same.

I have been in touch with the County Engineer and they advise that they found a corrugated storm drain that needs replacing. It was not in the original bid and have negotiated a price with the vendor. Once the line is replaced the road will be paved. No other information on time.

trust me anonymous, my neighbors will be calling, everyone in these condos are so upset!

According to the County's press release listing road resurfacing projects and costs (posted on their website in June here: http://service.govdelivery.com/service/document.html?code=NJPASSA_11), a 1/4 mile section of resurfacing work was estimated to cost us taxpayers $52k. You'd think that would cover things like this?

The County evidently found an underground pipe that needs repair, they have a changeorder to do so and then will repave. Sorry i did't get back to you earlier but I was in the State House all day. Mayor Jim

I can confirm as of 10/12/2010 the road is still sitting as it was in August, ripped up. No work has been done at all. The famous Haloween house has now started their attraction and we are expecting traffic to go up 1000% in the next 2 weeks, it is going to be a disaster!

Ugh. It's really terrible. One of my tires is constantly losing air. I'm sure it's due to this mess on Grove St considering I drive it only very locally. It's been like 10 weeks already, hasn't it? What an embarrassment that the county get it together to get this fixed already! Who's running for office next month? We need help here.
