Description
I honestly am not sure I want the city to do anything about this now, but thought I'd post it anyways.
The pavement has continued to be pounded to pieces day after day by hundreds of trucks, buses, and vans over 4 tons that use this street (despite the posted weight limit ban, it isn't enforced). It looks horrible and is noisy when vehicles rattle across it.
But there's a bright side! We also have a lot of problems with speeders on this block, which has become a popular bypass for Palisade Ave.
Behold! The 1 in 3 or so drivers who actually care about their suspension slow down. It's kind of like a natural-forming speed bump, which we'll never have because City DOT policy prohibits speed bumps on busy streets.
So I say, leave it be. Heck, let the whole street crumble to pieces and then maybe the vans and dump trucks will stop illegally detouring down our street. The speeding through traffic will slow to something close to the limit.
Just FYI.
