Description

The previously filled potholes are now deeper holes. The part of the left side of the street (north to south) is full of them. Also that side of the street is severly sunken and broken - like it was a year ago before it got fixed. It's often under water so you can't see how deep the depression and holes have become. That side of the street has been 'fixed' several times in the past few years and in all cases always erodes away the fix in just a few months. Perhaps there is a water pipe under that keeps erupting? Traffic is heavy and now with half the street unsafe to drive on, it makes it a one lane street. I always travel on the better lane and hope and pray noone will come barreling around the corner and force me to move to the 'holy' part of the road!!!! Come and drive down it and see what you think. While we are on the topic, Loomis St. between Willard and Prospect is a mess as well. The worst part being the 'bump' about 3/4 of the way up. The pavement on either side of the traffic calming hump, has eroded int a gully on both sides making the hump into a mountain of sorts. Precarious to drive ones car over. I have an 8" clearance and it is very had on my car as it drops down the other side. Cars aren't the only victims, I have noticed that very few bikes are using that street. It was planned as a bikeway and isn't being kept up enough to attract bikers in addition the planters and poles narrow the road to the extent that you often can't negotiate around the potholes, etc. These are just the roads in my neighborhood.I have encountered several other streets that are in a similar sorry state
