Description

My husband and I almost got run over trying to cross the street on our bikes at the intersection of Paden Circle and W. Howard St. There are no walk/don't walk signs on either side of the street, and (obviously) no buttons to push to allow us to cross the road. So we had to rely on the light to change, only from where we were standing you can only see the light on one side. We assumed when that light turned red, we had the right of way. So we started to go, and a truck almost ran us over because he still had a green light (which we couldn't see at all). So one light was red, while the other was green and we had no way of knowing. It's absolutely ridiculous that there's no way people on bikes or walking can't safely cross when there are two crosswalks at that intersection. And absurd that there are no walk/don't walk signals!
