The city, in a glaring display of apathy and or ineptness, refuses to act. In 2018 there were at least 40 SeeClickFix complaints and 117 SPPD calls to this location. Perhaps the time has come for citizens to take matters into our own hands. Who is willing to participate in a "beach cleanup" on that corner? If enough interest, I'll organize it on Nextdoor.com. I can also supply trash bags, trash pickers and rubber gloves.

I'm willing to participate in a "beach cleanup". I used to do this all the time in Miami Beach and it makes a huge difference in areas the city doesn't maintain well. However, we need to let the police do their job. There needs to be a SeeClickFix report for this guy every day he is there. If the police get the report, they do move him. He ends up coming back as soon as he can but needs to be reported again. We do need to break up the campsite before it grows to a tent city.

I'm in. Since the city is full of empty promises and refuses to enforce laws or codes, I think it is time we took matters into our own hands.Maybe contacting some local media might help?
