Description

Officer Blose of the USF Police Department requested the communications center to contact you. The crosswalk is not being illuminated at the intersection of 2nd St S and 6th Ave S because the trees have grown in such a way they block out the street lights. The officer witnessed several incidents where pedestrians were not seen by motorists due to the lack of lighting. One of the street light poles was labelled B804190, the other did not have a label but is at the North West corner of the intersection. Please have your tree crews come out as soon as possible to remedy the situation as it poses an immediate risk of death or serious injury to students on campus who utilize the crosswalk in numbers exceeding more than 200 crossings nightly. If you have any further questions please contact the USF Police Department at 727-873-4444 and ask for PCS Johnson or Ofc Blose.
