Monday morning around 630am my husband took our son (16m) and dog to the park as he does every morning. He saw our son put something in his mouth over by the steep slides. He ran over and pulled a small baggie of some white substance out of his mouth - meth or opioids- Thankfully he didnt ingest any and we weren't spending time in the hospital. Your staff, while they do a good job, need a to be more mindful of the kids park. There has been a large black bag of recyclables sitting in the park for over a month. Ve found dead animals and cleaned them up myself
I've seen ppl sleeping in the park as well. Please install interior lighting. Just an fyi I manage parks in SF and have to deal with many of the same issues. I dont voice alot of concerns but finding drugs in the kids park is terrifying. It's a heavily used park please do more to ensure peoples safety.
