Crew inspected mailbox and determined that the plow did not strike the mailbox. The weight of the snow moved the lighter plastic mailbox off of its short post support. Crew re-righted mailbox. Please refer to US Postal Service mailbox regulations (https://www.usps.com/manage/mailboxes.htm) and your mailbox manufacturer's installation guide for further support guidelines.
Hello! Thank you for your quick attention to the issue, but I'd like to reopen this ticket as I respectfully disagree with the conclusion of the review. The plastic mailbox was attached to a long wooden post that, after being hit by a plow, completely snapped at the bottom, which I assume is what made it seem that it was just a plastic mailbox on a short post. Please see attached photo. I have more photos to share if you'd like additional views, unfortunately it seem that only 1 file can be attached here. Please advise re next steps. Thank you!
