Description

This was reported to us/CA and it is a Howard County path. The report is as follows:
Need to call your attention to a burgeoning flooding problem with a specific pathway — the section of Elkhorn
Branch Trail that runs from MD 175 to Oakland Mills Road (to the east of, Sewell’s Orchard and other
neighborhoods). I don’t know the solution, but large portions of this path become submerged after it rains or
snows, and the submerged parts are sufficiently large that they make the path unusable. Ditto for the marshy
ground adjacent to submerged pathway portions — they also become too soggy to be walked on.
