Thank you for informing us of this issue. I came out to check on the problem today and believe I located the issue. The yard drain to the right of your house is a privately maintained structure that the City does not own. We could not locate where the pipe connected to that drain comes out, meaning it could be buried which would not allow water to exit your yard. Hi Matt - As per our conversation, the drainage issue being reported is on higher ground above 830. Reportedly there is a storm drain there that fails to collect water because the drainage ditch stops well short of it. Who is responsible for fixing that ditch and drain?

I was not able to find anything drainage related in this area. I studied the plats for the neighborhood and found that there is a sewer easement with a sewer man hole in the area of concern which I assume is the structure reported. Any work to improve drainage in this area will be up to the property owners.

The City of Alpharetta has resolved this request.
